A seasoned litigator with more than 22 years’ experience managing complex and multifaceted disputes, Chakrapong is regularly instructed by large mining, chemical, construction, manufacturing, petroleum and hospitality companies in relation to contentious matters concerning their operations and major projects in Thailand.

Chakrapong has conducted cases in all of the major courts including the civil, criminal, bankruptcy, labour, tax, intellectual property and international trade, and administrative courts, in addition to arbitral tribunals and mediations. He also has extensive experience in disputes regarding banking and finance, bankruptcy, environmental, business reorganization, corporate and real estate matters.

• Representing one of the largest mining companies in Thailand in multi-party litigation regarding alleged cadmium contamination of the environment from mining activities, involving thousands of plaintiffs. This case is considered as one of the largest environmental disputes ever litigated in Thailand due to the substantial claimed quantum of damages and the number of parties.
• Representing a leading chemical company in a rehabilitation case regarding a breach of agreement.
• Acting for one of the world’s leading hotel chains on trademark infringement and breach of franchise agreement against a local franchisee.
• Representing a leading US global insurance company in a criminal lawsuit against an individual on the grounds of defamation.
• Representing a leading insurance company in arbitration proceedings against a large Syndicate on the issue of ‘event’, prescription period of the insurance claim and reinsurance claim payment. 
• Acting for one of Thailand’s largest petroleum companies in arbitral proceedings against a supplier in a damages claim for delay caused by late delivery on an offshore natural gas project. This case is important because of the size of the project and its importance and value to the Kingdom of Thailand.
